Signed Books

My signed book collection is slowly, but steadily getting better and better.

Theres really no explanation necessary for this one.. I waited 20 hours for the book and it was worth every second :) Read the story here.

My first signed book was obtained at the Free Library in Philadelphia. It was a really nice event, it was a book reading, signing, and Q&A session with wrestling legend Mick Foley. He was an incredibly nice guy and I was fortunate enough to get him to sign his book and he also posed for a picture with me.

The second book I got signed really needs no introduction. The guy has been a great inspiration in my life and is really one of my heroes. I grew up watching Walker, Texas Ranger. He has been a good influence and I admire him greatly. It was a dream come true being able to meet Chuck Norris and I cherish this book and autograph greatly.

The third, and final as of right now, signed book in my collection doesn't have a great story tied to it. I knew he was going to be a jerk, but took the chance just in case he decided to be nice, I also wanted his autograph. The book is basically a "User's Guide To Steroids" and it disgusts me. Oh well, he got $27 out of me, but if I were you, I wouldn't waste it. He didn't even thank me. He was too busy flirting with some lady.

The fourth signed book in my collection is from someone who I've admired for a long time. He was the first basketball jersey I ever owned, back from his days on the Suns. Was a cool purple one :) I've wanted his autograph for a while and a great friend offered to pick me up a copy at a nearby Barnes and Noble. Thanks Dan!

The next book was signed at a signing in Little Falls, NJ. You can read the story in the "In Person Tips/Stories" section.

This next book was signed at a signing at the Friends Select School in Philadelphia, PA. You can read the story in the "In Person Tips/Stories" section.

The next book I purchased off of an auction site. I've wanted Bono's autograph for a very long time. I've read this book and really enjoyed it so I thought it would be nice to add a signed item like that to my collection. It is also signed by the author, Michka Assayas.

This next book was from a signing down in Florida which, for some reason, decided to do a massive amount of mail order for the book and only charged like $25 for it. I'll gladly pay $25 for an Alex Rodriguez autograph and it's one of my favorite signed books!

This is up there as one of my favorite items in my collection, I've been a fan of Chef Robert for quite some time, his show is awesome and I had the awesome experience to see him prepare a meal (I got to try it too!) After watching this, I got to meet him and got his book signed. It was a really cool experience and I look forward to hopefully meeting him again in the future.

The Colbert Report is one of the best shows on TV and Stephen is awesome. It was a real pleasure meeting him and I'm glad to have his signature in my collection.

I purchased this book off of an auction website. I wanted this in my collection for two reasons, one being that Sir Edmund Hillary was the first person to climb Mt. Everest and another reason is because this book is in the queue line for Disney's Expedition Everest and I thought it would be cool to own a signed copy of the same book.

This next signed book is of one of baseball's greatest, Cal Ripken Jr. A friend obtained this in-person for me.

This next autograph is from someone I greatly admire and am really happy to add to my collection. I read Lee Iacocca's latest book, "Where Have All The Leaders Gone?" and really enjoyed it. So I wrote Lee a letter and asked him to sign it. I received it back signed a few months later. I am pretty sure this autograph is not genuine although the one on the letter he sent me was.

I bought the following two books at Barnes & Noble when we were there for a Michael Phelps signing but missed the cutoff.

Like I said above, I bought this at a NYC Barnes & Noble, I've wanted Magic Johnson's autograph for a long time and was really glad to get this signed book!

I bought this book at a silent auction for a local theatre.

This book I got signed a while back at a signing. Dog looked really tired but it was cool meeting him. (Dog the Bounty Hunter)

I sent this book to Ray and received it back signed! I'm really happy to add it to my collection.

I got one of the following two as a Christmas gift and bought the other one because I'd like to use the signature in an Entrapment piece. They're really nice sigs and very different from the TTM one I have.

I am doing an Undergraduate Research project on Starbucks at La Salle and have started reading books written about Starbucks, Howard Behar was one of the most instrumental figures in making Starbucks what it is today and he wrote a very informative book about it. I'm really happy to add this to my collection.

This book also inspired my research on Starbucks. Howard Schultz is a genius and really built a great business!

A friend obtained this Tiki Barber signed book at Barnes & Noble in NYC for me.

I've been buying a lot of signed books online as of late, I finally was able to add someone I really admire to my collection, Tony Robbins!

The next book is one I bought from a bookstore that had a signing with Julie Andrews and was nice enough to do mail orders for it!

I also was able to purchase a Buzz Aldrin signed book from Books of Wonder in New York (thanks, Poldark!)
